Hong Leong Tokio Marine Takaful Berhad (HLTM Takaful), is a strategic collaboration between Hong Leong Financial Group Malaysia, a reputable integrated financial services group and Tokio Marine Nichido Fire, one of the world’s largest insurance companies.

The strategic partnership sees Hong Leong Bank Berhad, Tokio Marine and Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd and Hong Leong Assurance Berhad coming together with equity participation of 55%, 35% and 10% respectively. This new joint venture company was incorporated on 19thJune 2006 with a paid up capital of RM100 million.

The collaboration offers HLTM Takaful an opportunity to leverage on the scale, customer base, embedded branch network as well as extensive distribution channels of Hong Leong Bank. HLTM Takaful also will leverage on Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd’s vast and global technical and product development expertise towards the creation of innovative and competitive takaful offerings. Together with Hong Leong Assurance, with its established insurance expertise and presence in the market, HLTM Takaful is well positioned to deliver differentiated propositions to its customers.
